This graceful city was the brain child of the city planner, Colonel Light and is the nations centre for culture and the arts.
From the superb Festival Centre, where soothing music drifts
across the banks of the Torrens River ..... through busy city
streets, past stately historic buildings to Victoria Square's
impressive fountain sculpture.
We show the Botanical Gardens and the spectacular Glass
Conservatory, housing the largest indoor rainforest in the
southern hemisphere.
Take a tram ride to historic Glenelg, then to picturesque
Birdwood to inspect the National Motor Museum's collection of
over 300 classic cars and to Hahndorf, thriving centre of crafts.
Explore Port Adelaide, home to Port Dock Station Museum with
over 25 locomotives and the Maritime Museum, where salt
encrusted exhibits rekindle a romantic sea faring heritage.

ports and then on to the Yorke Peninsula to Moonta, where so
much of the State's copper mining history is buried.
